Common Sense Vehicle Legislation
Proposed Legislation:
"With the onslaught of massive fatalities at the hands of automotive vehicles, we are calling for common sense legislation regarding the ownership of any motorized vehicle that exceeds a speed of more than 20 miles per hour. Before anyone can purchase a vehicle from a dealership or a private individual selling more than three vehicles, a background check should be conducted to assure that this person 1) has never committed a crime, 2) not mentally deranged as to use the vehicle in an unfit manner, 3) has completed the requirements as required by the state to operate vehicle. By doing this we feel that automotive fatalities could be reduced dramatically since criminals wouldn't be able to own a vehicle. This background check would be the responsibility of the party selling the vehicle, and they would have to deny the sale if the person is disqualified from owning a vehicle."
